Due to the requirements of the standards for ceramic plates on the formulation of product models and specifications, various standards cannot be unified. Therefore, this article introduces the thickness of ceramic plates.
1. The total thickness of the ceramic board is 18mm. This type of ceramic board is generally hung with a back groove, and its cross-sectional shape is shown in the following figure:
The size of the 18mm ceramic plate varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and the center distance between its two T-shaped grooves during installation is also not equal, mainly in two types: 96mm and 66 (67) mm. When selecting pendants and determining the position of the horizontal keel, attention should be paid to this issue.
The unit weight of 18mm thick ceramic board is about 32kg/㎡, and its failure strength is 2100N (average value) (GB/T 27972-2011).
2. A ceramic plate with a total thickness of 19mm is difficult to meet the national standard's requirement for the thickness of the hanging part of ceramic plates larger than 18mm, which is difficult to achieve in a 19mm space. Therefore, this specification is difficult to see in the market and will not be expressed here.
A ceramic board with a total thickness of 22mm (including 21mm and 22mm) is generally hung with upper and lower sockets, and its cross-sectional shape is shown in the following figure:
The dimensions in the above diagram are also different from different manufacturers. When selecting pendants, the contact length of the upper pendants should be considered to ensure safe installation.
The connection structure design between the pendant and the ceramic panel should comply with the following regulations:
When the upper part adopts a plug-in hanging component and the weight of the ceramic board is borne by the lower hanging component, measures should be taken to prevent the ceramic board from breaking and falling. There should be no gap between the hanging component at the load-bearing point and the vertical contact part inside the ceramic board hanging groove;
3. Ceramic board with a total thickness of 30mm
This type of ceramic board is generally hung with upper and lower sockets, and its cross-sectional shape is shown in the following figure:
The forming process of ceramic plates is extrusion molding, and their width is determined by the mold. The length is executed by the slitting equipment according to instructions, that is, the plate width is only taken as one value, and the plate length is set according to engineering needs.
The grid height (decorative surface width+transverse seam width) of a typical ceramic panel curtain wall is 300mm, 400mm, 450mm, 500mm, and 600mm. Other dimensions can be produced using customized molds. In many manufacturers, the total width of ceramic panels is used as the width value for calculating the sales area of ceramic panels, which increases the usage of ceramic panels compared to the visible area of curtain walls.
The center distance of the vertical keel of a general curtain wall is below 1.2m, and the length of the corresponding ceramic board is also within 1.2m.
