In the 1980s, a new type of curtain wall material - "ceramic panel" was born in Europe. It is made of clay as raw material, wet formed, and calcined at high temperatures. Ceramic panel curtain wall is a new type of wall decorative material that combines tradition and modernity organically, updating the architectural language, improving the comfort of the building, integrating with nature, and being environmentally friendly. In recent years, it has been widely promoted and recognized in China. Below, we will introduce the installation diagram of ceramic panel curtain walls.
1. Measurement and laying out
According to the vertical division of the curtain wall, use a theodolite and a level to mark the vertical and horizontal control lines for the installation of the keel on the external structural surface.
2. Install columns
The column is fixed to the main structure through corner codes and fastened with stainless steel bolts to adjust the verticality of the column.
3. Install crossbeams or connectors
Use stainless steel bolts or screws to fix the crossbeam (or connecting parts) to the column, and adjust the verticality and levelness of the crossbeam.
4. Install ceramic panels
Install the joint sealing strip on the crossbeam (or column);
Install the ceramic board and hanging components, adjust the installation flatness and verticality of the ceramic board through the hanging components;
Install the remaining ceramic panels from bottom to top in order to complete the installation of the entire curtain wall.
5. Apply sealant
Open systems do not require sealant, while closed systems require sealant to be applied to the horizontal and vertical joints of ceramic panels.
6. Curtain wall cleaning
Clean the installed ceramic panel curtain wall thoroughly.
